Hourly Mode FAQ

When does the word change?

A new word is generated exactly at the start of every hour (e.g., 1:00, 2:00, 3:00) based on your local time.

What happens if I don't finish in time?

When the clock strikes the next hour, a new word will replace the current one. Speed and consistency are part of the challenge!

Does this impact my Daily streak?

No. Hourly, Infinite, and Daily modes all have independent statistics and streaks. Your Daily streak is safe.

How is this different from Infinite?

In Infinite, you control the pace. In Hourly, the clock controls the challenge. Everyone gets the same 'Hourly' word, making it competitive.

Can I play previous hours?

Currently, you can only play the 'active' hourly word. Once the hour passes, that specific word is gone!

Are definitions supported?

Yes, our instant definition feature is active across all game modes for your learning convenience.

How do I track my hourly streak?

Your hourly streak tracks how many consecutive hours you've successfully solved. It resets if you miss an hour or fail a puzzle.

Is there a leaderboard?

We are currently working on global leaderboards for the Hourly competitive mode. Stay tuned for future updates!
